Michael Montaño represents clients in complex and high-stakes civil litigation, with a primary focus on antitrust and privacy class actions. Michael practices before federal and state courts at both the trial and appellate court levels.
Representative antitrust matters in Michael’s national practice include In re Qualcomm Antitrust Litigation, MDL No. 2773 (N.D. Cal.), which, with 250M class members, is the largest class action in U.S. history, and In re Domestic Airline Travel Antitrust Litigation, MDL No. 2656 (D.D.C.), which, with two defendants still remaining in the case, has already achieved $60M in settlements. Michael has also represented public entities in national opioids litigation and the public interest in whistleblower cases.
Born and raised in San Antonio, Texas, Michael graduated from the Stanford Law School, Yale College, and Central Catholic High School. He serves on the board of MOVE Texas, a civil rights and youth empowerment organization headquartered in San Antonio.
